The LTT event in Plzen, Czech Republic, was held on August 29th and 30th, 2024, at the Secondary Medical School and Higher Vocational Medical School. The activity gathered experts from various countries with the aim of enhancing media literacy among oncology patients.

On the first day, participants were introduced to the MedLit online course, which aims to help patients assess the reliability of health information. The session included interactive workshops where participants analyzed the course content and shared feedback for further adapting it to the needs of patients and their families.

On the second day, the focus was on developing critical thinking and combating false health information. Through interactive activities and simulations, participants practiced how to support patients in selecting accurate information. The training concluded with the presentation of the Open Badges system, which will allow healthcare workers to document and showcase the skills they have acquired.

Following the completion of the LTTA in Plzen, the project is entering its final phase of local implementation, which will last until December 2024.
